AI & EdTech
Africa is being significantly transformed by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Educational Technology (EdTech)
Bringing opportunities to overcome long-standing challenges like resource scarcity, high student-to-teacher ratios, and limited access to quality early learning. We prepare a context-specific, equitable, and sustainable solutions.

AI and EdTech in Transforming Early Childhood Education
Young children are naturally curious and love to explore untouched areas in the normal education system. AI and EdTech tools can help capture their attention and keep them engaged in learning and teaching activities.
The prime goal of AI and EdTech in transforming Early Childhood Development (ECD) is by making it more interactive and engaging for learners and educators.

AI's Key Applications and Benefits

The Role of ICT in Education
Today's learners grow up in a world shaped by ICT. Technology influences both the environment of growing children and the people around them. When ICT is properly and purposefully utilised, it develops collaboration, cooperation, discussion and creativity among children.
Equip teachers with pragmatic ICT skills and cost-effective teaching methods. ECDL introduces preparation of low-cost learning materials from locally available resources that facilitate learning and enable collaborative teaching and learning environments.
ICT plays an important role in modern learning. Beyond equipping students and teachers with basic IT skills — word processors, spreadsheets, email — its real transformational potential lies in shifting education away from teacher-centred, lecture-based instruction towards student-centred, interactive learning.
Regional Level
Promote ICT as a Core Component of ECD National Curriculum
National Level
ICT is not an add-on — it is part of foundational literacy, alongside Literacy, Numeracy, and ICT Literacy. ECDL actively collaborates with the Ministry of Education and the National Curriculum Development Committee (NCDC) to enrich the Curriculum Framework. The proposed plan examines:
District Level
Transform Schools with ICT-Assisted Learning
Transform Teachers Training Colleges with ICT-Assisted Education
At the classroom level, literacy and language development is at the core. Language development in early childhood is a complex, multifaceted milestone connected to culture, identity, and belonging.
